Don’t miss your chance to see Shakespeare’s greatest play HAMLET on stage for FREE July 17-21st at 6:30 pm at the Prairie Amphitheater of the North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum. The Prairie Amphitheater is located just outside the entrance to the Heritage Center on State Street directly south of the Northern Lights Atrium.

Hamlet follows the story of young Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, as he comes to grips with the death of his father and seemingly hasty marriage of his mother to his uncle (his father’s brother). Throughout the play Hamlet is torn between love and loss, grief and forgiveness and this struggle leads to all sorts calamity and strife.

Performances are FREE but a free will donation will be taken to help defray costs. There will also be limited concessions available for purchase. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come and enjoy a night of Shakespeare in the beautiful North Dakota landscape.
